Net-talking toaster to burn news onto bread
Many things have appeared on toast: Marmite, Vegemite, jam and even Cylons. Now a designer’s invented a toaster that can burn pretty much anything onto your morning slice, including the news.
The Scan Toaster: toasts news, weather and pictures onto your bread
The Scan Toaster connects to a PC over USB and downloads everything from local weather conditions and the current time to the morning’s news headlines.
Individual modules (left) are heated and moved about (center) to create the on-toast image
Inside the toaster is a network of toasting “modules”, each heated by a hot wire. Each module can move by 30° and, once the user selects what they want on their toast - excluding a topping, of course - the modules align themselves and burn the appropriate content onto the bread.
The appliance is a finalist in design competition run by manufacturer Electrolux and designer Sung Bae Chang said he got the idea whilst - you guessed it - making some toast.
No plans to manufacture the toaster on a mass scale have popped up yet.

We all know breakfast’s the most important meal of the day. So ditch your cafe-bought Marmite toastie and cook yourself a slice in the Wii-inspired toaster.
The Wii-like toaster launches slices towards your plate
Designer Ivo Vos hopes to... ahem... “celebrate the mundane” with his toaster, which thanks to its 42° angle and 5.2N of force, can hurl your freshly browned toast across the room, he says.
If you’ve lined things up correctly, the toast may even land slap-bang on your plate.
The +/- Plate will keep your toast warm
But toast goes cold quickly. So designers Ami Drach and Dov Ganchrow have invented a warming plate, for which they obviously took inspiration from the defrosting capabilities of a car’s rear window.
That’s because the +/- Plate has “silk-screened gold and amorphic metal films” embedded in its surface. This enables the 12V plug-in plate to heat-up and keep your chosen food warm.
Secret message in the inlaid warming wires?
It’s even said to be able to get hot enough to cook an egg on.
Alas, no plans to launch either the Wii-like toaster or warming plate have been announced, so it's back to the porridge for now... ®

so last time I fell in love was with Chloe Sevigny's collection for Opening Ceremony.

As I found out today, she did another one for them. and They are surprising well done, the reason I said that is because this is her first thing for fashion, and she is bold enough to start digging in the men's section. Bold!!!!

music wise, The stunning Fever Ray (aka The Knife's Karin Dreijer Andersson) unveiled a mesmerizing video, for the second single When I Grow Up from her forthcoming selftitled solo album; to be released on March 30th with (possible) remixes from Tiga & James Rutledge. The video is directed by Martin De Thurah, well know for directing Futureheads' Skip To The End & Royksopp's What Else Is There?, for which Dreijer Andresson (Fever Ray) provided the vocals!
